An article about the ‘robot reporter’ in the NRC (Dutch Newspaper) Tuesday 22 July

An article in the NRC quoted my colleague Mariet Theune and myself concerning the capabilities of computers to take over tasks from journalists. The search through lots of documents and writing of standard factual stories maybe, but the interviewing of people in the field and investigating on location with drones….

A few days later on Saturday Montag’s column (by Henk Hofland) had a follow up on it

Big in Japan…

Just spent a few days in Japan with a camera team to tape a documentary about robotics in japan. We visited Hiroshi Ishiguro, Tomotaka Takahashi, Takayuki Kanda, Harumitsu Hanya the Karikuri puppet maker and saw the HAL exosceleton in action in a Hospital in Yokohama (it felt like walking with super powers, not unlike Clint Eastwood..). It was so Cool!!
